Before you start

You must have at least the Content admin role to be able to do this.

To clone a node

1. Find the node you want to clone and click the Clone tab.
2. Edit it immediately and remove “cloned” from the title.
3. Put the menu item in the right place in the menu. If you leave the default, the node will get no URL alias beyond its Page title. 
4. Don’t touch the URL alias field. Always leave that checkbox checked, otherwise the URL risks drifting from the spec, and it makes it impossible to update the URLs should the spec ever change. This URL alias fieldset may disappear in the future. 
5. Scroll down to the Editorial workflow.
6. Select a Save as state.
7. Enter a Revision log message.
8. Click Save.
9. Verify after save that the URL alias is as expected.
10. Go back and edit the node as necessary.
