We offer individual counseling services for family members of service members who died while serving on active duty or to family members of Veterans who were receiving Vet Center services at the time of their death.

We offer referral services to a wide array of community and faith-based organizations to accommodate for grief group, support, and bereavement services. This includes Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), grief counseling for military survivors.

Our grief and bereavement services are available to family and family members of Veterans and service members who have experienced a death of an active-duty service member or Veteran.

We offer:

• Counseling for family members who lost someone on active duty 
• Counseling services to family members of Veterans or service members who were receiving Vet Center services at the time of their death
• Referrals to community hospice partners 

We can offer counseling and other support, such as:

• Bereavement counseling for families who have lost a loved one while they were serving on active duty
• Grief counseling
• Contact information for the Veteran Benefits Administration and National Cemetery Administration regarding possible burial and survival benefits

The Augusta Vet Center offers bereavement counseling and support to:

• The families of Veterans who were receiving Vet Center services at the time of the Veteran’s death
• The families of service members who died while serving on active duty

The Clermont Vet Center offers bereavement counseling and support to:

• The families of Veterans who were receiving Vet Center services at the time of the Veteran's death
• The families of service members who died while serving on active duty

We can also connect you to the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) and the National Cemetery Administration (NCA) for assistance with burial and survivor services. 

We offer counseling and other support such as:

• Bereavement counseling for families who have lost a loved one while they were serving on active duty
• Grief counseling

We offer counseling and other support such as:

• Bereavement counseling for the family following the death of a service member
• Community referrals for continued care, if necessary
