We support Gold Star families. We offer grief and bereavement counseling if your service member died while serving on active duty and to family members of Veterans who were receiving services at the time of their death.

We also offer individual counseling for those who have lost a loved one due to an active-duty death or to family members of a Veteran who was receiving Vet Center services at the time of their death.

We also offer bereavement counseling to any Gold Star family members. If you’re a Gold Star family member, we are here for you, no matter how distant or recent your loss.
Pompano Beach Vet Center - Grief and bereavement counseling
We offer individual, group, and family counseling for grief and bereavement.
Sailing the Ocean of Emotions is a spiritually oriented grief group conducted in collaboration with a VA chaplain. This group meets every Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. You’re welcome to attend every session or drop in when you need support.
Montgomery Vet Center - Grief and bereavement counseling

Macon Vet Center - Grief and bereavement counseling
We offer bereavement counseling and support to:
- The families of Veterans who were receiving Vet Center services at the time of the Veteran’s death
- The families of service members who died while serving on active duty
- Community referrals for bereavement counseling
- We can also connect you to the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) and the National Cemetery Administration (NCA) for assistance with burial and survivor services.

We provide a caring, supportive place to process loss. We offer services like these at no cost:
