Our counselors are experienced with substance use disorders and treatment in both inpatient and outpatient settings. We provide individual and family counseling to assist with the assessment and treatment of substance misuse.
We can help you develop an effective plan of recovery that might include one or more of the following:
- Referral for more intensive treatment at Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks or within the community through either inpatient or outpatient programming
- Referral to community support groups
- Recommendation for continued counseling with the Vet Center or through a community provider

The Baton Rouge Vet Center refers you to local VA outpatient clinics, nearby VA medical centers or private sector resources for specialized care in this area.
Tulsa Vet Center - Addiction and substance abuse care
At the Tulsa Vet Center, we know the recovery journey is a marathon and not a race. Our team can assist by providing long-term support for Veterans and service members while they establish and maintain a lifestyle of recovery.
We are also able to provide a warm hand-off referral for Veterans and Service Members struggling with addiction to the Eastern Oklahoma VA Healthcare System and other community partners for detox and initial stabilization.

We understand that self-medication is a common means of attempting to control the emotions that are controlling us. We understand that addiction is complex, sensitive, and can sometimes be lifelong. All of our counselors are trained in substance use treatment.
