In our counseling sessions, we address and processes how substance use impacts individuals and their family. If more intensive substance abuse services are needed or an actual substance abuse assessment is required, we’ll refer you to the SATP (Substance Abuse Treatment Program) at the Atlanta VAMC.   

We refer to our local VA Medical Center and other community substance abuse programs. 

Symptoms of PTSD, such as feeling on edge, having trouble with sleep, or losing motivation, may be getting you off track. We can provide the tools to manage these problems. Call us to learn how we can help.

• Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
• Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
• Prolonged Exposure (PE)

• Adaptive Disclosure
• Whole health activities such as mindfulness and yoga
• Seeking Safety 

We'll help connect you to services with the local VA Medical Centers and to programs in the community.

We can also connect you to the VA Medical Center Substance Use Disorder Treatment program (SUD standard outpatient clinic) or local community providers.

We provide referrals to the local VA Medical Center and to community agencies.

At the Montgomery Vet Center, we appreciate the relationships we have established for additional support, including:

• VA Central Alabama Health Care
• Bradford Health Services

We can also refer Veterans and service members to our community partners like River Edge Behavioral Health and the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center.
