We can help connect you to substance use programs both inpatient and outpatient with VA. We also work closely with our community partners to help you with addiction, detox, or to gain stability.

Greenville Vet Center can direct Veterans to the VA Medical Center Substance Use Disorder Treatment program (SUD standard outpatient clinic) within the Durham VA Medical Center.

We refer within the VA and local community to assist Veterans with addiction and substance abuse concerns.

We can connect you to inpatient or outpatient substance use treatment in the community or our local VA Medical Center Substance Use Disorder (SUD) program.

We can refer you for help with any substance use problems relating to unhealthy alcohol use or drug abuse to a life-threatening addiction. Unhealthy substance use often goes hand in hand with PTSD, depression, or stress.  We can connect you to more intensive or comprehensive substance use treatment programs within VA or in our North Carolina community if needed.

We offer individual counseling. We also refer to the Substance Treatment and Research Service (STARS) program at the Greenville Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) or to other agencies in the community. 

Unhealthy substance use often goes hand in hand with PTSD, depression, or stress. We can help you understand how problematic drinking, drug use, or gambling might be related to other stressors in your life and we can teach you how to take control over your substance use. We can also connect you to more intensive or comprehensive substance use treatment programs within VA or in the community, if needed.

We offer referrals to VA Caribbean Health Care System New Beginnings Program, as well as other community substance abuse programs.

We can also refer you to programs within the VA health care system and in the community.

We’ll actively coordinate referrals for substance abuse counseling to the San Juan VA Medical Center.
