Learn what to do if your account is blocked.
When are accounts blocked?
Drupal CMS accounts may be blocked for several reasons:
- A new account has not yet been activated by an administrator
- An existing account has been deactivated by an administrator
- A VAMC editor account with incomplete training assignments
- At least five failed login attempts when logging in with username and password (developer login)
Account is not active
An account may not be active because it is new and has not yet been approved, or because an existing user has left their office, health care system, or the VA entirely.
In these cases, contact the Drupal CMS help desk and include:
- Your name
- Your email
- Your office or health care system
- The error message you're getting when you try to login
VAMC editor account
If you are a VAMC editor and your account has been blocked, you may still need to complete the 5 required VAMC editor training assignments before your account can be activated. Please reach out to the contact the Drupal CMS help desk for more details.
Exceeded failed login attempts
An account will be blocked for 30 minutes after five failed login attempts with username and password (developer login).
If an account is blocked because of failed login attempts, you can:
- Use PIV login on the production environment, or
- Wait 30 minutes for the account to be automatically unblocked, or
- Contact the Drupal CMS help desk with your email and the error message you're getting when you try to login.
