Preview a page

See what your content will look like on VA.gov. Preview is only available on the production site, and will only work for some content.

Before you start

In some circumstances you won't be able to use preview. Keep in mind:

Preview will work in the production environment (prod.cms.va.gov) but won't work in the training environment.
Only content nodes that are complete pages can be previewed. You won't be able to generate previews for individual accordions or media.
You 'll need to save content first before you can use preview your changes.

Find the content you want to preview

On your homepage after logging in, click the section you want to edit under Sections. (Vet Center editors: click View on the Main Vet Center page card or Locations page card.)
After Title contains, enter a title keyword for the item you want to preview.
Click Apply.
On the results list, find the item you want to edit and click its title to open the View tab.

From the View tab, generate a preview

Click the Preview button in the upper right. The preview might take a minute to open in a new tab or window.

A new tab will open with a preview of your content.

Keep in mind:

Links you see in preview won't be functional, so you'll need to use the View tab to test them instead.
You can copy and paste the preview page URL to share with others (as long as they have VA network access)
